Blood Mage Class Idea
An innocent, if fumbling mage, Valathora took a bullet meant for her mentor and was forever changed. Kidnapped in her place, Valathora was forced to become a vampyric san'layn, and although she has managed to maintain her humanity, it has forever altered her fate.

Racial Abilities: Loses Arcane Acuity, Arcane Resistance, and Arcane Torrent
  • Arcane Affinity (As the Blood Elf Racial)
  • Touch of the Grave (As the Forsaken Racial)
  • Chill of Death (As the Void Elf Racial 'Chill of Night', except it also reduces Arcane damage taken by 1%)
  • Preternatural Calm (As the Void Elf Racial)
  • Blood Torrent (As Arcane Torrent, except its a bloody visual and instead of gaining class resources (like mana), you are healed for a small bit instead)

Covenant Abilities: She has to be Venthyr, shes a bloody san'layn!
  • Kyrian Warlock (Generates 4 Burning Charges)
  • Venthyr Mage (When a mirror is consumed, it reduces the CD of Pyroblast by 6s)
  • Night Fae Warlock (Drain Mana doesn't trigger it)
  • Necrolord Warlock (Buffs Fireballs)

Class Abilities: Uses Mana and has 4 Burning Embers, embers disappear slowly out of combat.

  • Fireball (Generates 1 Burning Ember, costs mana, and mana cost/damage increases with Burning Embers)
  • Pyroblast (45s CD, Chaos Bolt casting speed, Pyroblast damage; generates 4 Burning Embers, puts a powerful Fire dot on the target that also increases fire damage you deal to the target by 25% for 8s)
  • Scorch (As Fire Mage, except its mana cost and damage increases with Burning Embers possessed; critical strikes generate 1 Burning Ember)
  • Rain of Fire (Mana cost and radius starts low, does low damage, but radius and mana cost increase the more Burning Embers you have (but doesn't consume them))

Cooldown Abilities
  • Blazing Barrier (As Fire Mage)
  • Ember Tap (Consumes 1-4 Burning Embers to heal for 3% per Ember spent instantly, and the same amount over 10s (equaling about 25% total HP))
  • Vampiric Blood (As Blood Deathknight, also increases mana you steal by 15%, and mana you gain by 15%)
  • Combustion (As Fire Mage)

Passive Abilities
  • Mastery: Vampyr (Increases the Health/Mana you steal from others by Y% of your Mastery; Burning Embers increases the damage of Fireball by X% of Mastery, Fire Blast by 2/X% of Mastery, and all other Fire damage by ~2X% Mastery)
  • Cauterize (As Fire Mage)
  • Critical Mass (As Fire Mage)
  • Backdraft (Fire Blast creates 1 charge of Backdraft for every 2 Burning Embers it consumes; Backdraft reduces the casting time of Fireball/Pyroblast by 30%, and those spells consume 1 charge of Backdraft when cast faster thanks to it)
  • Life Tap (Once you reach 50% mana, spells cost 50% less mana, but also make you take damage equal to the other 50%. As your mana lowers, going towards 0%, the mana discount increases until you're more or less taking the full mana cost in health damage to cast spells without any mana)
  • Dark Succor (Killing an enemy that grants honor/experience, makes your next Ember Tap free, initial healing to heal for 50% more, and do so as if you spent 4 Burning Embers on it)
  • Fiery Scourge (Each Burning Ember spent has a 2% chance, stacking to 8%, to allow you to cast Rain of Fire as if you had 4 Burning Embers and without spending mana on it))

Level 15
  • Flashover (Fire Blast generates one Backdraft charge for every Burning Ember spent, and deals 10% more damage per Burning Ember spent)
  • Searing Touch (As Fire Mage)
  • Soul Fire (Replaces Pyroblast, deals Shadowflame damage, 45s CD, Soul Charges a Burning Ember slot, making Burning Ember spending abilities that spend the same amount as it to function as if they spent 5 Burning Embers, and applies a Fire damaging DOT that lasts for 12s, and increases Spell Damage dealt to that target by 25% for its duration; does not generate 4 Burning Embers)

Level 25
  • Blazing Soul (Ember Tap's that consume 4 Burning Embers ignite a Blazing Barrier around you)
  • Shimmer (As Mage)
  • Blast Wave (As Fire Mage)

Level 30
  • Incanter's Flow (As Mage)
  • Reverse Entropy (As Destruction Warlock)
  • Blood Tap (1 min CD, 1 charges, instant, increases your spell damage by 30% for 10s but lose 1% of your Max HP every 1s for 10s (this counts as losing it to Life Tap); when you cast Combustion, you gain the benefits of Blood Tap. Every Burning Ember spent on Ember Tap reduces the cooldown of Blood Tap by 0.5s)

Level 35
  • Impact (Fire Blast critical hits daze the target hit by 50% for 3s, with a 50% chance to stun them for 2s instead; targets immune to being stunned are still slowed)
  • Alexstraza's Fury (Dragon's Breath generates 1 Burning Ember and has its crit chance increased by 25% for each Burning Ember currently possessed (this includes the Ember it generates), and boosts next Fire Blast or Rain of Fire by 35%)
  • Inevitable Demise (Every Burning Ember spent gives you a stack of 'Inevitable Demise', stacking 50 times, each stack increasing the damage of your next Drain Life by 15% (consuming all stacks))

Level 40
  • Searing Flames (Ember Tap's initial healing is increased by Y% of your Mastery, and increases your Leech by 3% for each Burning Ember spent on it for 8s; subsequent Ember Tap's do not refresh the duration, but will increase the Leech done up to a maximum of 12%)
  • Burning Rush (As Warlock)
  • Death Pact (As Deathknight)

Level 45
  • Fiery Echo (Direct damage you deal to a target effected by Pyroblast's DOT, causes an explosion of fire to all enemies near the target)
  • Emberstorm (When Fiery Scourge procs, your next Rain of Fire has its radius increased by 100% and its damage increased by 50%)
  • Living Bomb (As Fire Mage)

Level 50
  • Bloodflames (Damaging Fire spells cast also cost 1% of your Max HP; Fireball, Fire Blast, Pyroblast, and Scorch critical strikes (and Soul Fire if talented) reduce the cooldown of Combustion by 1.5s)
  • Red Thirst (Every 1% Health you lose to your own spells, reduce the CD of Vampiric Blood by 1s)
  • Ravenous Power (When you lose health to your Life Tap passive, your next Fire damaging spell is increased by the same amount; this stacks but is lost on the first damaging Fire spell cast)

PvP Talents
  • Blood for Blood (You gain the Bloodflames talent, and if Combustion would be dispelled, you lose 2% of your max health and it isn't dispelled (this counts as losing health to Life Tap))
  • Essence Drain (Drain Life/Mana triggers it)
  • Flamecannon (As Fire Mage)
  • Burn and Wither (Damage from Rain of Fire's cast by Fiery Scourge causes targets damaged to gain a healing absorb debuff equal to the damage dealt by that Rain of Fire)
  • Greater Pyroblast (Can consume 2 Backdraft charges to cast 30% faster; generates 4 Burning Embers, otherwise identical to Fire Mage)
  • Netherwind Armor (As Mage)

  • Tinder (As Fire Mage, but instead of increasing the damage of Fireball, it reduces the mana cost of Fireball by 30% and generates an extra Burning Ember; it still casts 30% faster)

Dragonflight Valathora: Briefly the apprentice of a warlock, a failure of a mage, and now a cursed vampyr. Valathora's life has been nothing but a rollercoaster!

Row Eight
  • Mirrors of Torment (Replaces Phoenix Reborn; 40 yd range, 1.5 min CD, 1.5s cast time, places 3 mirrors of torment on the enemy for 25s. Whenever the target attacks, casts a spell, or uses an ability, a mirror is consumed to inflict Shadow damage and then reduce their movement speed and casting speed by 15% for 6s. Mirrors can only be consumed once every 6s, and the final mirror deals additional Shadow damage, roots the enemy and silences them for 4s, additionally whenever a mirror is consumed, you gain a stack of Backdraft, with the third mirror also granting Fiery Scourge; Left-path, right; connects up to Mana Leech, Ravenous Power, and Firemind, connects down to Red Thirst & Siphoned Malice/Sinful Delight)
  • Flame Accelerant (2 ranks, if you have not cast Fireball for 8s, then your next Fireball's mana cost is reduced by 50/100%, its casting time is reduced by 15/30%, and it has a 50/100% chance to generate an additional Burning Ember; Middle-path, left)
  • Bloodflames (Damaging Fire spells now cost 1% of your maximum health to cast (in addition to their mana cost), but now Fireball, Fire Blast, Pyroblast, and Scorch critical hits reduce the cooldown of Combustion by 1s; Middle-path, middle)
  • Fiery Bombardment (Replaces Wildfire; Fire Blast deals an additional 50/100% damage against targets below 50/100% health; Middle-path, right)

  • Red Thirst (Replaces Controlled Destruction; 2 ranks, when you suffer at least 5% of your health in a single effect from an enemy, reduce the cooldown of Cauterize by 10s, once every 25/20 seconds. If the same happens from your own effects/spells, then reduce the cooldown of Vampiric Blood instead by 10 seconds. Both spell reduction effects are separately triggered and do not share a internal cooldown; Left-path, middle; connects up to Mirrors of Torment, connects down to Unquenchable Thirst)
  • Siphoned Malice / Sinful Delight (Replaces Pyromaniac; Siphoned Malice makes it so each time a Mirror is consumed, your spell damage is increased by 5% for 10s, stacking 3 times; Sinful Delight makes consuming Backdraft charges reduce Mirrors of Torment's cooldown by 4s, and if its dispelled to reduce the cooldown by 45s; Left-path, right)
  • Decimation (Replaces Pyroclasm; your Fireball and Fire Blast casts on targets that have 50% or less health reduce the cooldown of Pyroblast by 3s; Right-path, left)
  • Controlled Destruction (Replaces Fevered Incantation; 2 ranks, as Fire Mage; Right-path, middle; connects up to Roaring Blaze, connects down to Soul Fire)

Row Ten
  • Unquenchable Thirst (Replaces Sun King's Blessing; while Vampiric Blood is active, Drain Life will drain from up to 4 other targets near your primary target; Left-path, middle)
  • Heir of Taldaram (Replaces Fiery Rush, while Combustion is active Pyroblast comes off cooldown 33% faster, and your first Fireball after gaining Combustion applies the DOT from Pyroblast but only for 6 seconds; Middle-path, middle)
  • Soul Fire (Pyroblast's cast time is now 3s, it deals more damage and its damage as Shadowflame, and it both lasts for 12s now, but also deals Shadowflame damage as well; Right-path, middle)
